Financing

Paying for a build is part of planning it. We give your lender what they need and pace the build to the draw schedule.

Ways clients pay

  1. Construction loan

Funds released in draws as stages are finished. We give the lender our schedule of values.

  2. Home equity line

Borrowing against the house you already own, often used for ADUs.

  3. Cash-out refinance

A new mortgage that releases equity for the build.

  4. Cash or a mix

We can stage payments to match how your funds become available.

Financing questions

Do you offer financing?

We are not a lender and do not arrange credit. We introduce you to lenders who finance ADUs and custom homes, and give them the drawings, budget and schedule they ask for.

What kinds of loans do people use?

Common choices are a construction loan, a home equity line of credit, a cash-out refinance, or cash. Which suits you depends on your equity, rate and plans. A lender can compare them for you.

Can the ADU's future rent help me qualify?

Some lenders consider it and some do not. Ask them directly. We do not promise rental income.
